KAPLANET aims at promoting gender transformation that recognizes the root causes of gender inequalities in Ugandan communities and the associated implications in the socio-economic status of male and female people. The organisation recognizes gender inequality as key underlying cause of child poverty and the poor sexual reproductive health outcomes among girls and women.
KAPLANET maintain the highest possible sensitivity to gender issues, ensure adequate representation and participation of both male and female, build capacities of communities, civil society organisations, service providers and policy makers to apply gender sensitive and transformative approaches in their work, development processes and advocate for access to equal opportunities, resources, gender justice and freedoms to exercise control.
